The star point guard taps into nostalgic memories of his childhood for this special release, with all five main characters of the cartoon represented in the collection. This particular version is the Patrick Star edition of the Kyrie 5.
The entire shoe is constructed in pink mesh with a spotted graphic to mimic Patrick's starfish body. A lime green midsole evokes the appearance of Patrick's shorts. For this toddler edition, a large strap covers the elastic laces, and wavy Nike branding is present on the heel, with Irving's "KI" logo placed on the strap. A Nickelodeon logo sits inside both tongues, and a Patrick graphic adorns each insole.
The SpongeBob SquarePants x Nike Kyrie 5 "Patrick Star" in toddler sizing was released on August 10th, 2019. The shoe features a cutout in the forefoot, giving developing feet more flexibility, and a rubber cupsole construction. The closure is a hook and loop design with elastic laces, and a foam collar surrounds the ankle, providing additional support and comfort.
